About the City Leicester

The city of Leicester has a population of over 300,000 people, large enough to make you feel part of a cosmopolitan and thriving community but retaining many of the characteristics of an historic market town with students making up over 10% of the population during term time, the city has a vibrant and youthful feel. Recently the government has pumped in one billion pounds for Leicester regeneration, which will be used to build one of the largest and best shopping centres in the country, a science park to cater for Research & Development of cutting edge technology just to name a few.
