The fees
shown below are for each academic year except for the pre university
course and English, and are correct at the time of publication.
Although we do not envisage any increases to our published fees in
exceptional circumstances we do reserve the right to review our fees at
any time

Students are required to
follow the rules and regulations of the college in all respects.
Fee quoted is payable in advance of the course commencement unless
prior arrangements have been made.

Fees may be
payable by instalment.
Half of the fee to be paid in advance, and the other half to be paid
according to the agreement between MABT and the student.
Fees may be paid in cash or Bankers Draft or by direct transfer to the
College’s bank account. Bankers Draft should be made payable to
‘Midlands Academy of Business & Technology Ltd’. Please note
that the tuition fees exclude the registration and examination fees. |
The Midlands
Academy of Business and Technology is led by a team of experienced
educationalists with a passion to create success.
The Academy
has gained an outstanding reputation for enabling students to access
University degree courses through the one year University Foundation
Course (UFC). The UFC assures successful students, whether local or
international, of a place at a British University.
Tuition is
given in small groups or individually where appropriate, and English
language support is included in the fees for Academic and Professional
courses. The Academy has a high success rate of students in external
examinations and in gaining placements at UK Universities.
University
Foundation Course (UFC)
The University Foundation Course
is designed as an alternative to the ‘A’ Level route to University
entry and is recommended for students wishing to ‘fast track’ to
University within one academic year. For overseas students this course
will assist students to convert their current qualifications and
experience into a useable qualification that can be used in the UK.
The UFC is a fulltime course of approximately seventeen hours contact
or direct study time in three- ten week terms.
The University Foundation Courses
are ideal preparation for the following degree programmes:
Business, Accountancy, Economics, Marketing etc.
Computer Science, and Information Technology
Human Resource Management, Tourism
Law, Political Studies, Sociology, Psychology etc.
Science (Physics, Biology, Chemistry etc.)
Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Civil etc)
Pharmacy
In addition all students must
achieve the appropriate standards in each of the mandatory support
subjects, English (EFL), ICT (basic), Maths (basic) and Study skills.
Foundation courses run for three semesters with entry points in
September, January and April for University entrance in September of
the same year. Students may also start in June for entry in January of

Pre-Masters
Certificate
The Pre-Masters Certificate (PMC) course prepares graduate students for
Masters/PhD programmes at UK universities. The Midlands Academy has
progression agreements with Middlesex, De Montfort and Coventry
Universities. The PMC course is accepted by most UK Universities.
All our students have access to University libraries to assist them
with their research proposals.
The Pre-Masters Certificate is jointly awarded by the Midlands Academy
and Middlesex University.

English
as a Foreign Language (EFL)
The Midlands Academy of Business and Technology offers courses in
English as a Foreign Language (EFL) aimed to develop and improve skills
in spoken English, listening, reading and writing. The Academy has an
exceptional reputation for helping students to improve their English
all books and class materials are provided.
Courses are available at levels
to suit various abilities and can be booked from two weeks up to one
academic year.
Students can choose either the Standard* or Intensive course*. All
students are carefully monitored to ensure progress with regular
tutorials and evaluations.
*Standard course (15 hours tuition + 5 hours directed study)
Allows students the freedom to extend their learning over the period of
their choice.
*Intensive course (20 hours tuition + 15 hours directed study

International
English Language Testing System (IELTS)
Students in Intermediate and Upper Intermediate level may want to take
the IELTS examinations and these classes focus on developing English in
an academic context as well as studying English Skills for social and
business purposes.
We will take you step by step
through each of the IELTS disciplines - reading, writing, listening and
speaking.
Our experienced tutors will give you detailed feedback on your
progress. You will be expected to work hard but you will experience the
benefit of steady improvement.
IELTS 1 This is the introduction
to IELTS for students needing 5.0 or 5.5. Most Universities require
higher scores and we suggest that students continue with IELTS 2 if
they require scores of 6+.
IELTS 2 This is the higher-level course with major emphasis on the
specific examination skills required to achieve high IELTS scores. In
most cases students will have completed IELTS 1 or achieved the
equivalent of IELTS 5.0 before starting this course.

Association
of Business Executives (ABE)
The Association of Business Executives is a market leader in the cost
effective provision of quality assured British management education
leading to awards which are valued in their own right, but which are
also recognised as an accepted route onto the later stages of a number
of UK and overseas professional or university qualifications. Students
receive reward certificates at every stage of each programme.
Exams are held twice a year in June and December and the course
duration is between one and three years.

The Institute for the Management of Information Systems is an
international professional association devoted to supporting and
promoting the profession of information systems management. The
Midlands Academy of Business & Technology is registered as a

Information Systems to offer the IMIS Programmes.

Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualification
is ideal for those who wish to develop a diverse career in financial

of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
ACCA is one of the world’s leading accountancy organisations. Its
members are internationally recognised in public practice, industry,
commerce and the public sector. ACCA membership also allows you to
obtain status as a Registered Auditor.

The
Certified Accounting Technician (CAT)
Whether you wish to start a career in finance, gain
recognition for the wealth of skills and experience you have already
achieved, or want accelerated progression to the ACCA Qualification and
a more senior position in accountancy, ACCA's Certified Accounting
Technician (CAT) qualification will help you towards your career of
choice. The CAT qualification will provide you with a solid foundation
in finance and accounting. You will learn all the necessary technical
skills and knowledge required to perform an accounting-support role.
And after passing the CAT exams, you’ll be able to gain exemptions from
the ACCA Qualification and be one step closer to professional status.

A Levels
The British education system
offers students a number of different courses at an advanced standard
(most of them vocational) which Universities are now willing to
consider as qualifications for admission to undergraduate courses.
The syllabus for each A Level subject is divided into 6 modules; the
first three are studied in the first year and are slightly easier and
allow a student to claim as AS Level grade (that is, the equivalent to
half an A Level) at the end of the year. In the second year the
syllabus will usually require students to build on and apply the
knowledge and skills already acquired as well as developing further
topics to a high level.
Usually courses are of two years'
duration and run from September to June. This allows maximum time to
cover the syllabus and to prepare students sufficiently for their
